The Dairy Alliance Kicks Off National Dairy Month

ATLANTA, GA, June 04, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — National Dairy Month is here, and The Dairy Alliance, a nonprofit organization funded by dairy farm families in the Southeast, is celebrating the hardworking farmers who nourish local communities while spotlighting the many ways real dairy supports health and wellness at every stage of life.

Throughout June, The Dairy Alliance is recognizing the dairy farm families behind every glass of milk, slice of cheese, and serving of yogurt while educating consumers about the nutritional benefits and versatility of real dairy products. From fueling athletes and supporting growing families to delivering essential nutrients that support healthy aging, dairy continues to serve as a powerful and accessible part of a balanced lifestyle.

According to The Dairy Alliance’s newly released 2026 Southeast Dairy Facts, more than 1,010 dairy farms and over 252,000 dairy cows drive the Southeast dairy industry, producing approximately 667.4 million gallons of milk in 2025 alone. The report also highlights that milk can travel from farm to store in less than 48 hours, reinforcing dairy farmers’ commitment to delivering fresh, nutritious products to families across the region.

“National Dairy Month gives us an opportunity to celebrate the dairy farm families whose dedication helps provide nutritious, high-quality dairy products to communities across the Southeast,” said Farrah Newberry, Chief Executive Officer at The Dairy Alliance. “Dairy continues to play an important role in supporting wellness, hydration, recovery, and overall nutrition, and we are proud to recognize the farmers who make that possible every day.”

We encourage everyone to celebrate dairy this June by attending one of our National Dairy Month events, exploring our educational resources with your children, or trying one of our dairy-inspired recipes at home. Additional educational resources, recipes, and information are also available on The Dairy Alliance website here: https://thedairyalliance.com/national-dairy-month
