All evacuation orders, warnings lifted for brush fire near Spring Valley
All evacuation orders and warnings for a brush fire burning Monday near Spring Valley have been lifted, the County of San Diego said.
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- All evacuation orders and warnings for a brush fire burning Monday near Spring Valley have been lifted, the County of San Diego said.
The fire, dubbed the Anita Fire, broke out near Millar Ranch Road and Millar Anita Lane. It is currently at 20 acres and 70% contained as of 8:57 p.m., according to Cal Fire San Diego.
Around 3 p.m., the fire was between 10 and 15 acres.
After initially issuing an order to shelter in place, authorities later issued an evacuation order, as well as an evacuation warning, for nearby residents.
Around 4:42 p.m., the San Diego County Sheriff's Department announced the evacuation warning was lifted, while an evacuation order remained for some areas.
Evacuees went to Regal Edwards Cinemas Rancho San Diego at 2951 Jamacha Road in El Cajon.
Cal Fire says Millar Ranch Road is open to residents only.
