In honor of Memorial Day weekend, San Diego Honda Dealers is offering complementary fuel to veterans, active and retired servicemembers for a limited time.
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- In honor of Memorial Day weekend, San Diego Honda Dealers is offering complementary fuel to veterans, active and retired servicemembers for a limited time.
On Thursday, May 23, volunteers with Helpful Honda will be pumping free gas at Food4Less Fuel Center, located at 5951 University Ave. The first 100 drivers to the location will get in on the deal between 10 a.m. and noon.
Veterans and military members will be asked to present a valid I.D.
Honda drivers at this location will also be offered complimentary fuel during that timeframe.
The amount of gas given per vehicle may be restricted to a certain dollar amount. Receiving a full tank is not guaranteed. All free gas is first come, first served.
San Diego Honda Dealers said the event is meant to "thank the brave men and women who serve us, and also loyal Honda drivers who are hitting the road for summer vacations."
An additional "free gas event" will take place in Lemon Grove on Friday. The exact location will be announced that morning.
