Patchy drizzle will be possible west of the mountains Tuesday morning with additional drizzle or light showers possible Wednesday night into Thursday, and again Thursday night into Friday.
High temperatures Tuesday are expected to be 66 to 70 near the coast, 68 to 73 in the western valleys, 65 to 75 in the mountains and 90 to 95 in the deserts, according to forecasters.
NWS said temperatures will slide from above normal to five to 15 degrees below normal Wednesday to Friday with Thursday being the coolest day of the week.
Gusty winds are forecast over the mountains and deserts, with peak gusts of 50-60 mph, especially Wednesday night into Thursday.
Going into the weekend, there will be a gradual warming trend with mostly sunny skies, meteorologists said.
