SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The Del Mar Racetrack has built a reputation as the county's best venue for thoroughbred horseracing and now it is scheduled to appear on the latest season of a hit Netflix reality show.

"Selling the OC," a spin-off of the hit series "Selling Sunset," is a reality show that follows realtors in the Oppenheim Group, a luxury real estate brokerage firm in Orange County, as they balance their professional and personal aspirations.

The series finale of season three is set in Del Mar, showcasing North County's unique landscapes and real estate. Of course, drama is also expected to ensue with the track's grandstand as the backdrop.

The racetrack in Del Mar opened in 1937 with Bing Crosby greeting the first guests through the gates. Then, the famous match between the champion racehorse Seabiscuit and Ligaroti was held in Del Mar in 1938, drawing 20,000 people to the venue.

Tickets for the 85th annual Del Mar horseracing season go on sale next Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. Opening weekend is scheduled for July 20 and 21.

All eight episodes of the third season of "Selling the OC" launched on Netflix on Friday.
