Get 40 cents off gas Thursday at these Circle K locations in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) —  Convenience store chain Circle K is offering discounted gas at select locations for one day only in honor of Memorial Day.

During a three-hour period on Thursday, May 23, those in the Golden State, including San Diego County, can get 40 cents off per gallon of fuel. The discount will be active from 4-7 p.m. at participating stores. The price at the pump will reflect the savings during that timeframe.

Circle K said 10% of the profits from fuel sales during the discounted event will go to the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. The nonprofit helps to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

“As many consider this holiday weekend the unofficial start of summer, we are excited to bring all of our valued customers, new and old, some great savings at the pump,” said Louise Warner, Sr. Vice President, Global Fuels, for Circle K. “We are also proud to recognize the true meaning of Memorial Day through our support of our non-profit partner, the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, during this event.”  

California drivers can find their nearest participating location using the convenience store chain’s Store Locator. A representative with the company said participating locations include stores in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Bernardino, and more.
