One person dead in daycare playground car crash
A driver is dead after her car overturned into the playground area of a daycare on Tuesday in the Ramona neighborhood, authorities said.
RAMONA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A driver is dead after her car overturned into the playground area of a daycare on Tuesday in the Ramona neighborhood, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 6:51 p.m. at State Route 78 and Earlham St., according to Cal Fire San Diego.
When first responders arrived on scene, they found the overturned vehicle had smashed through a fence and landed on top of several toys outside the Thompson Learning Center.
The woman was found dead in the car, fire officials said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
