SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Three people were taken to the hospital Wednesday after a rollover crash on state Route 163, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 3:18 p.m. on southbound SR-163 near the Exit 20 ramp from Interstate 805, the California Highway Patrol confirmed to FOX 5/KUSI.
Moment before the crash, the driver of a Subaru sideswiped a semi-truck, according to law enforcement. Then a video posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, shows the Subaru veer off southbound I-805, travel up an embankment for several seconds and then get back onto the freeway.
As the vehicle enters the Exit 20 ramp, the vehicle is seen moving erratically side-to-side and then swerving into oncoming traffic on southbound SR-163. The Subaru strikes a white Ford SUV and flips on its side.
The driver and passenger of the Subaru, as well as the driver of the Ford SUV, were all taken to the hospital, CHP said. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Driving under the influence is not suspected in the crash.
The collision is under investigation.
