Teens arrested after bus stabbing; gang detectives are investigating
Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a San Diego bus stabbing that left another teen injured Thursday, authorities said.
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a San Diego bus stabbing that left another teen injured Thursday, authorities said.
According to the San Diego Police Department, a 17-year-old male victim got onto a bus in the area of Fairmount Avenue and University Avenue shortly before 7 p.m. Another 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, both males and both suspects, also boarded.
For reasons still under investigation, the suspects got into a verbal argument with the victim. Police said one of the suspects stabbed the victim in the left arm and left leg, while the other suspect allegedly punched the victim.
After the fight, all involved individuals got off the bus and reportedly went separate ways. A short time later, police located the two suspects in the area of 47th Street and Federal Boulevard They were both arrested at that time.
The victim's injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
